Daniel Kovalovszky ( b.1979, Budapest, Hungary ) is a visual artist applying mainly the tools of photography in his personal, long term works. He lives and works in Hungary. Kovalovszky creates his series following his personal journey through time. He is inspired by the incidents and memories from his past, and it is important for him to engage in issues deeply and coherently. Kovalovszky considers photography a therapeutic process, may he focus on the harmony with nature, questions of confinement and freedom, or remembering his loved ones. His visual language is universal, which is made complex by traditional technique and experimental gestures. Kovalovszky's works have been exhibited in several galleries and museums including the Hungarian National Gallery, Hungarian House of Photography, Kunsthalle Budapest, Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center, National Museum - Warsaw.
